The SmartFIRE project hosted an exhibition booth at EuCNC 2015 on June 29 – July 2, 2015 to showcase testbed innovations for experimenting with wired and wireless Software Defined Networks (SDN). On this occasion, the SmartFIRE Consortium showcased results and experience gained from the project activities and will proudly introduce the SmartFIRE platform, developed as an open experimental platform able to serve as a vehicle for the experimental evaluation of the upcoming networking architectures.
The SmartFIRE on-site demonstration at EuCNC provided the chance to:
1) Learn about the tools available through the SmartFIRE platform for efficiently controlling and configuring the SDN and wireless network components;
2) Discover the capabilities of the SmartFIRE individual and federated testbeds, through the implementation and demo of novel use cases involving mobility and content based communications.
This 2015 edition of EuCNC, focusing on “5G, Shaping the Vision”, was organized in the Palais des Congrès of Issy les Moulineaux, close to Paris. The conference was be a cornerstone event for research in advanced networks and connected devices, with multiple exciting sessions, workshops, demonstrations as well as an outstanding social program. It brought together worldwide research and innovation community in the strategic domain of communication networks and systems, reaching to services and applications. The conference provided insight and results from EU funded research and innovation at the leading edge of these global developments.
